Artemis Gallery’s “Eros & Arrows” Show Featured in the Richmond Times Dispatch!

Artemis Gallery’s Eros & Arrows show was featured in the Richmond Times Dispatch’s Thursday Weekend edition. Jo Lord, their arts writer did a great job describing our event; you’re most welcome to review or read what she had to say!

Article:

“In a nod to Valentine’s Day, Artemis Gallery is showing “Eros & Arrows,” a show of Valentine cards made by local artists. The idea was to avoid the saccharine-sweet messages of store-bought cards and to express the emotions associated with love in a different way. One card, for instance, shows a handsome young man on the cover. Inside, there’s a vampire and references to romance sucking the blood out of lovers.

Artists represented in the show include Emily Creery Thomas, John Crutchfield,Laura Goetz, Charles O’Donovan, Ginger Pennington, Jessica Pittman Jones, Awest Subagja, Debbie Talman, Dawn Vass and Dennis Wymer.

The gallery will add new cards to the show until the end of its run.

The exhibit runs through March 2 at 1601 W. Main St.
Hours are Wednesday through Friday from 4 to 7 p.m., Saturday from noon to 5 p.m. and on First Fridays.

For details, call (804) 353-2676 or visit www.artemisgalleryrichmond.com.
